So one day, I was bored and decided to create a tiktok video. Wow congrats to me for finally joining the tiktok universe. Anyway, in the video, I talked about my most skincare empties. I thought I needed to elaborate my thought on those products.

Well, so here I am.

Wait. How long has it been since I last breathed on this blog? Almost five years. I basically neglected this blog. To be honest, I came here a few times just to take a look but immediately logged out. Yea, that's that.

Anyway, let's talk about the products.

COSRX Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner

This didn't impress me much. An okay toner. The calming effect was not significant and it was not really moisturizing either. I bought this because I had a severe flare-up on my cheeks because of regular mask-wearing (doctor said I was allergic to mask, what a nice coincidence now that the pandemic is still on-going and don't know when to end). Anyway, I didn't think this toner helped much in calming my flare-up cheeks.

COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid

Well, hello, holy grail. Been using it for years, quite literally. The first AHA that I purchased and kept on repurchasing because it worked so well on my skin. This bottle of goodness was the game-changer for me. My skin was so glowy, dewy and smooth and I got real compliments from people. That was pre-pandemic though. My skin condition, now, is another story. But I still use it once in 2 or 3 days on skin except for cheek area, and it still works quite well.

Round Lab Dokdo Toner

Bought this also during my quest to tame my flare-up skin and I wanted simple skincare products. Consistency was very runny, like water but with a bit of viscosity. Quite moisturizing, but I have other toners that are more moisturizing, so it's a pass. It was okay though.

Torriden Dive-In Low Molecule Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Hello holy grail #2. Currently the best Hyaluronic Acid Serum that I've ever tried. The consistency was watery than most HA serums. So watery that it almost passed as essence toner. It never caused redness on my skin and definitely moisturizing. You guys, HA addicts, should try this serum. Damn I love korean skincare R&D.

Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm

A nice lip balm. It didn't feel heavy and could be good base before wearing matte lipsticks/drying lip creams (although I personally don't like layering lip balm before any lipstick, I prefer to wipe it all off). It also smelt nice, like honey. After putting it on for a while and wiped it off, the moisture was completely gone. I like my lip balm to have a bit of moisture left even after wiping it off, so it felt like it was just sitting on the top layer of my lips. Well, it still couldn't beat my #1 lip balm which is Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.

Whitelab Eye Cream

A local product. A decent one. My stance on eye creams still don't change though. I never expect eye creams to give significant effect on my under eye area. I just need products that give my under eye an added moisture. And this did exactly that. There was perfume, but my eye area was not sensitive so it was okay.

Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream

The consistency of this cream is quite light so I don't think those with dry/very dry skin would love it. It was also an okay product. It gave a decent amount of moisture on my combination/dehydrated skin. Not causing any breakout or worsen the flare up so it was good.

And that's all, folks. I finally posted something on this blog after almost-five years of absence. Will I stay consistent and post more in the future? Only the universe knows. I also thought of creating more skincare/beauty-related contents on tiktok, but hey, look at my profile, I only posted that one video and poof, gone again.
